Here’s a picture showing the back of the home where we put a 90% solar screen on each and every one of these windows. This Round Rock solar screens customer did not choose to put a solar screen over the sliding door, nor a pocket for the sliding door.

I suspect this side of the house does not face West, otherwise I’m sure I would have pushed hard for them to put solar screen sliding door and pocket over that sliding glass door.  The sliding door faces Due West, nightshade it, that is a huge amount of glass the sledding in a ton of afternoon Heat.

Mounting method for this solar screens for Round Rock TX  mobile home installation

Typical windows for manufactured homes include two sets of Windows a inside set of windows and then one on the other side of it the outside.

Our installation method for Installing solar screens on mobile home widows is the same for all mobile homes. We direct screw the solar screens on to the outer edge of the outside window frame.

Using small 3/4″ screws with a quarter inch hex head, we direct screw our solar screens to the window’s framing.  These are self tapping minimally-invasive screws.

We used the 90% fabric for this solar screens for Round rock TX mobile home installation

For this specific Round Rock TX solar screens customer, they likely opted to get the 90% solar screens for all of their windows, because of the Privacy that the 90% fabric lends. Take a look at the following picture and look how dark that 90% solar screen fabric looks. That’s a 90% fabric. Now, the 90% fabric does not give you any kind of privacy at night. The 90% fabric however during the day gives you outstanding privacy. During the day you can see from the inside out very well. Surprisingly well being that it’s a 90% fabric.

I’ve never met anyone that I showed that 90% fabric to that has told me that it was too dark, that they felt like they could not see out it very well.

Now, what happens is in the evening people forget to close their blinds on the inside of the house.  When that happens, the roles get reversed, you can see from the outside in very well if the lights are turned on inside the home. So, that’s something to be aware of.

This is a great close up that shows you how far out on the exterior window frame we go with our solar screen framing. Typically with manufactured homes windows we cover up every part of the window. Often times there will be screws on the window that our solar screens will have to go over.  Therefore, the solar screens cannot sit flat up against the window’s framing. We are aware of the heads of the screws that are part of your window frame. These are screws that are used by the window installer to screw the windows onto the exterior of all manufactured homes.
